In its transition towards a 4th Industrial Revolution the European Textile and Clothing industry rapidly adopts advanced digitised manufacturing processes and technologies, uses smart materials and explores new high value added growth markets for textile based solutions. To map out future technological and market applications for textiles and the research and new knowledge needed to fully realise these opportunities, the European Textile Technology Platform has developed a new Strategic Innovation and Research Agenda (SIRA) for the next 10 years. This Strategic Agenda together with many industry, research, technology and project cases will be presented at a high-level conference.
