“Fashion Change: a book, a project”

7th May saw the Prato Design Lab present "Fashion Change", a book and a project that shows the result of the four-year commitment of Out of Fashion, the first training course totally focused on the culture of sustainable fashion and aware.

Fashion Change indicates the innovative paths and the new paradigms that allow living transformations in progress as an opportunity for growth and not exclusively as a limit.

Fashion Change is developed in seven chapters dedicated to the themes of conscious fashion culture like: materials and their environmental impact, technological innovation of the textile sector, traceability of the supply chain and respect for workers, high craftsmanship and the recovery of tradition, the relationship between art and fashion. Seven proposals that summarize a world of references, aimed not only at the consumer but at all those interested in fashion, style, fashion history and especially the future.

Amongst those involved in the event were:
Daniela Toccafondi, Councilor for Economic Development of the Municipality of Prato;
Filippo Guarini, Director of the Textile Museum;
Anna Detheridge, Director of the Connecting Cultures Association;
Mauro Rossetti, Director of the Association Textiles and Health;
Paola Baronio, Journalist expert in sustainable fashion.

If you weren’t able to make it to the event but are interested in the book it can be ordered here: http://www.connectingcultures.info/moda_consapevole_etica_green/prodotto/fashion-change/
