The REDU Place Lab & Reginnova organised a very successful creative workshop, on 12th and 13th of October, in Romania.
The workshop shone a light on redesigning clothes as a sustainable practice in order to lower the negative impact of the textile industry on people and the planet. The local community was invited to learn or improve its skills on how to extend the life of clothes by collecting them and transforming them, with the help of REDU’s Place Lab team, into new repurposed products. The participants had the opportunity to reconsider and transform their clothes into reusable new bags and friendly packing items, reusable make-up pads, kitchen towels or even to repair clothes.
The main goal of the event was to raise awareness regarding the importance of a more responsible approach to consumption, and how we, as key actors in the textile industry, consumers and producers, can shape a positive change on the local and global level.
