The European project Creativewear has made available a free software that may be of use to TCBL associates.
Heritage Manager is a free and open-source program created to assist textile producers to digitalize their historical archives. It is intended as a support instrument for the correct conservation and organization of a company’s productive patrimony, as well as a key jumping point for new creativity in a market in which everything old is new again. Catalogues may be put online for consultation by researchers and stakeholders, or be used internally.
The software was created in Prato in collaboration with the PIN Prato University. An online demo has been populated by the Museo del Tessuto with parts of their collection, serving both as a first point of contact for potential users, and a useful research tool for the textile museum.
As part of the requisites for the Interreg MED program Creativewear, Heritage manager is now available as a free download on the website https://creativewear.interreg-med.eu/external-database/
