The textile Centre of Excellence can offer a fabulous practical space and Utilities to enable candidates the freedom to realise and grow their ideas to reach their potential. Encompassing the available support and guidance of Experienced and Qualified staff. The Design Lab has the full range of Utilities to enable any Designer or aspiring Designer to research/Develop and grow and achieve Industry ready product and skills. The space can be used effectively for every step of the design process. Be it initial ideas and deciding practical solutions, design developments to establish ranges and key pieces, fit process through to fine tuning the product to get it to market and the final quality assured and production friendly pieces.
Researching, Sourcing, Trend forecasting, Range building, Colour pallets, Creating Flat drawings and Design sheets, Fashion drawings, Creating Tech packs, Size specifications, Grading, Design process, Deciding details and trims, Pattern cutting, Toiling and sampling, Cost reduction and best production practice.
