Community Cloth - Natural Dyeing, Wool and Educational Activities
CommunityCloth, an Erasmus+ project, aimed at building capacity in urban communities through the development of community-driven farm-to-cloth productions. It's open-access Learning Programme is now available online along with two comprehensive technical handbooks and one educational activities handbook developed by TCBL Association member Saber Fazer: “Natural Dyeing”, “Wool, From Sheep to Yarn” and "From wool to colour". A fourth handbook is dedicated to "Effective Training Approaches".
The books were designed to support educators working with women, migrants, youth, and individuals with fewer opportunities in leading more sustainable, diverse, and inclusive urban farming projects. Both technical handbooks combine technical knowledge with practical steps, serving as foundational materials for community-based workshops. The Educational Activities handbook was developed to serve as inspiration and guidance in the development of educational activities, both for the project participants and for anyone who wishes to promote creativity, contact with materials and community learning. It includes practical workshops on Wool and Natural Dyeing, scientific, artistic and cultural experiences.
