Village of solutions
This year, TCBL has graduated from a podium-sized stand to a whole "village of solutions" that spotlights five members of our network with their most recent innovative solutions. For the entire three days of the fair, here you'll find five R-themed sections:
REIMAGINE Fashion. Centexbel hosts this area through their involvement in the VETRINE project, of which Cedecs-TCBL is also a partner. Find a display of select works by advanced learners who aref ready to propose a solution, including YLI by Eleni Exadaktilou, a collaborative knitwear project that uses botanical dyes and scents.
RETHINK Sourcing. Mitwill's stand features S2G XR, a 3D textile trade marketplace designed for safe and sustainable B2B transactions between suppliers and buyers. It also presents some initial garment concepts developed in ALADIN, a new Horizon Europe project to create interconnected microfactories, for which public opinion is sought in a survey.
RECONNECT Production. Roadmapper, a bootstrapped B2B SaaS for the construction industry, presents the FABRIX platform from the FABRIX project, which seeks to reconnect local communities of production in the T&C industry. In this part of the stand, find products that highlight the quality of businesses represented on the platform and its matchmaking power, with bags from discarded festival tents by StudioHaering (NL), a conscious clothing collection by Blanthé (GR), and made-to-order lingerie by Musa Intimates (NL) including prototypes created with the natural dyes of Fabulous Funghi (NL).
REGENERATE Materials. Le Textile Lab in Lyon presents innovative materials made from often discarded rustic wool, including samples coming from the Woolshed project. Also highlighted is Velkin, modular thermal and acoustic insulation panels made from recycled textiles and bio-based binders which were developed in the context of the LAUDS Factories project.
RENEW Fashion Districts. Mythos Fashion District represents the renewal of local production in Sicily and will spotlight a selection of the Italian region's innovative products.
Threading circularity forum (Sept 2)
After last year's "Bio-innovation day" - a whole day of talks and roundtables - this year we've paired with the Circular Fashion Federation of France for an intensive morning format called the "Threading Circularity Forum". Fair attendees are welcome to join us for a welcome coffee and chat from 9am.
The morning of talks will officially begin at 10am with a quick introduction from the two organizers - the Federation and TCBL. Two "conversations" will be about operating repair systems (Myriam Chikh-Mentfakh from Le Lab Plus) and recycling from complex materials (Laurent Trognon, REC). TCBL's Frédérique Thureau leads a roundtable at 11am on "Extending the lifespan of textile and fashion goods" with Juliette Malaquin (Fashion Revolution France), Thomas Blumenfeld (Roadmapper, with the FABRIX project), Thomas d'Argon, Tom Atkin, and Eleni Exadaktilou (Greek winner of the VETRINE contest). At noon, two more conversations from Teresa Bua of Mitwill talking about microfactories, and Pauline Gamore (Le Textile Lab) about the supply chain for rustic wool. Then, stick around for a light networking lunch!
