We're calling TCBL Days 2021 "Ingredients for Sustainability". Four of these important ingredients are the focus of the month-long TCBL Days 2021: we’ll look at people and projects addressing solutions that are circular, creative, bio-based, and inclusive.
These four ingredients represent the current research direction of TCBL through the network’s participation in on-going EU-funded projects. TCBL Days is the umbrella under which to look at the concrete results of Herewear (local bio-based fibres and fabrics), Creativewear Plus (creativity and collaboration), and shemakes (gender innovation).
The core of TCBL Days will be the four Thursdays from November 11th through December 2nd. Each will include a morning session with live-streamed keynote presentations and an afternoon roundtable-style conversation with the local community of TCBL Labs in Ljubljana (SL), Evora (PT), Wallonia (BE) and Barcelona (ES). The four ingredients that are the focus of TCBL Days 2021 provide the themes for each day.

November 11, 2021: TCBL / Circular
The opening event in Ljubljana (SI) will be hosted by TCBL Lab Etri on the theme of Circular Economy in the T&C industry. -
November 18, 2021: CreativeWear Plus / Creative
Hosted by the ARTERIA Lab in Evora Lab (PT), we’ll discuss the issue of digital heritage in the context of the Interreg MED CreativeWear Plus project, which extends the network of TCBL Creative Hubs by bringing together artists, creatives and the T&C industry. -
November 25, 2021: Herewear / Local
Hosted by TCBL Lab Centexbel in Wallonia (BE), we will look at the role of bio-based fibres and textiles as a possible future for the industry, in the context of the H2020 Herewear project, where TCBL is engaging an extended stakeholder community to promote the uptake of local production systems for circular fashion. . - December 2, 2021: shemakes / Inclusive
Hosted by FabTextiles at the IAAC in Barcelona (ES) in the context of the H2020 project shemakes.eu for which TCBL is the Lead Partner. We will discuss how innovation in the T&C sector contributes to bridging the gender gap.
But that's not all. The format of this hybrid, month-long event also includes networking opportunities and catch-up sessions to find out what TCBL has been up to since the end of the EU-funded project.
